One more stamp...because I'm...really bored? XD

No, really though. I am SO tired of people always like "Well I can't do this and that, I only have Paint" or someone making this complete CRAP piece of 'art' and boast about how they did it only in Paint and get twice as many comments as a lot of pixel artists out there like "OMG! I can't believe you did that in just paint! You're so awesome!!!!"

It's like everyone only expects crap to come out of Paint, so when they see something slightly less craptastic the person who made it suddenly "OMG AWESOME!"
I do ALL of my dolls/bases/whatever in NOTHING but Paint, okay? Sure I do use photoshop to SAVE the file because I admit Paint isn't so nice with making things transparent, but that has nothing to do with what you can MAKE in it, and there are tons of free programs to save things transparent for you so yeah..I'm tired of all the excuses. I get that some people just can't use a certain program/art medium/etc, but that doesn't make that program/medium automatically crap, does it?

And just to make it clear so I don't get people mad at me, I don't think people who do dolls/pixel art in photoshop are like..'cheaters' or don't work as hard. Definitely NOT. I envy those who can make a doll in photoshop because I don't think I ever could. What I don't like is people saying Paint isn't just as good as Photoshop/*insertotherprogramhere* for making ART. Plain and simple. Paint is capable of making art just as good or even better than photoshop at times. So yeah...I get tired of seeing junk like that.

I am a proud MS Paint user and that's not going to change until pixel art completely dies...and I don't see that happening.

Sorry for that rant there...I seem to like ranting on stamps. XD So um...I guess that's about it. Paint FTW. :D

I probably would use paint for my artwork but I usually need layers for most of my art so...

I'm lost with it.

But I've seen amazing work done with it!

MS paint is pretty good. its the only program I can have because if I download any programs my computer will be slower than hell. the only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have layers

It's amazing for pixel art.

I know how you feel! I'm an avid MS Paint user. In fact, I have a trick for turning drawings on paper into digital works via MS Paint. ^_^

1) Draw the picture on paper.
2) Take a photo and upload it to your computer.
3) Open the photo up in MS Paint.
4) Trace the drawing using the line tools.
5) Once you have everything you want traced, invert the color.
6) Press CTRL+E and click Black and White. On the message that pops up afterwards, click yes.
7) Press CTRL+E again and click Color.
8) Invert the color so that the background color is white and the lines are black.
9) IMPORTANT: Be sure to save it first, as a PNG. That way, it's easier to color and shade.
10) Color and shade however you want. Then save when you're done.

It may seem like a lot of steps, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy.

yes; it typically comes already on a PC when you buy one.  I don't think Macs have it though...but I think there might be a programming way to put it on a Mac...just not sure.

Pffft, MS Paint is probably my favorite program. I mean, I grew up living to draw on that.
I just made this redkkpuppy.deviantart.com/art/… and I made it in only MS Paint itself. And honestly, I am proud of it because I feel like I have control in that program.
I SUPPORT THIS STAMP.

In my opinion, Paint is only good because it has a decent curve tool, which makes it great for doing lineart. It's too basic for most stuff IMO, so I use GIMP most of the time.

Still a lifesaver because of dat curve tool though.

I've always used MS paint for all of my pictures and just used gimp to "attempt and fail at adding transparency" to my pictures.

The past few deviations I made were completely in gimp, and I must say the look horrible xD

MS PAINT FOREVER

I love using paint :3 It's just that I never knew there was a pencil tool...only a paintbrush...so I thought it was crappy...so then I got gimp, and I love it because it had a pencil tool. Then sooner or later I figured out paint had it too :iconfacepalmplz: so now I use both equally! (mostly gimp, but gimp's pictures come out all fuzzy so I copy&paste it to paint and it's magically clearer) ...Have fun reading xD
